Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

Robots aren't quite as adept in removing debris like metal screws or chunks of pasta. They are however great at cleaning pet hair, dust and food particles. The best models have intelligent navigation technology and object avoidance features that help them maneuver around toys, cords and other obstacles in the household.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is an excellent robot vacuum with a number of innovative features that make it much easier to maintain than many competing models. The automatic bin emptying feature is among the most impressive features we've encountered in a robotic vacuum. It's great on carpets as well as hard floors. It's also simple to install and use with the app that guides you through the process step-by-step. Another notable feature is its ability to return to where it was when we tested it. It did this for 77 mins on one cleaning before running out of battery.

Unlike some of the other robovacs we've evaluated, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's filled. This helps reduce the need for hands-on maintenance and also helps prevent the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still needs to be manually cleaned after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L which is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.

Like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors that create maps. It also lets you navigate through neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7 can also use its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO is not able to do this.

The i3+ EVO is more effective of picking up surface debris when compared to other robovacs that we have looked at, but it's not the best in cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being surprisingly quiet. It pulled chairs away from walls and made some collisions with the sides of our bed, and also became stuck on cords and toys during testing.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

The Q5 Pro is an excellent choice, whether you are expanding your collection of robot vacuums or just starting out. It packs powerful power, a smart navigation system, and handy automation into a sleek design for a reasonable price. It's the best model for the money available currently, and it even matches the Roborock models that are more expensive in a variety of ways.

This robot does an excellent job cleaning bare floors and its avoidance technology helps it stay clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores a high score for our tests of navigation. The only issue is that it's a little noisier than many other models we test, and it doesn't fare similarly in our user satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust container of 770ml, meaning that you won't need to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute run time is also generous when contrasted with other 2-in-1 robots we tested. If the battery is low, it returns automatically to its dock where it recharges before resuming cleaning from where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. That, combined with some other innovations, makes it do exceptionally well in our vacuuming and mopping tests. You can schedule cleaning times, set no-go zones, and view the status of the battery as well as other things. The app is simple to use, however it does not support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its website's footnote in early November to reflect that the feature was delayed until 2025.  vacuum robot  won't work with HomeKit, but many of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.

You can also create virtual walls and no-go zones to prevent the RV30 Plus from wandering into areas you don't want to be in.

The iMop features an onboard dust bin and an water tank that empties and refills at the end of each cleaning session. The dust bin on board can hold up to 2.5 liters of debris.
